The Char-Broil All-Star 125 Electric is aimed at people who want a proper hooded BBQ experience without managing gas bottles or charcoal. Its 2.2kW electric heating system uses Char-Broil's TRU-Infrared cooking surface, designed to distribute heat evenly and reduce flare-ups. A lid-mounted thermometer helps monitor covered cooking, while two fold-down side shelves provide preparation space without permanently increasing the footprint. The whole grill can also be detached from its wheeled stand and used as a tabletop unit, making it unusually adaptable for patios and balconies. At 30kg and a premium price it's neither lightweight nor cheap, but its combination of infrared cooking and flexible form factor distinguishes it from basic electric grills.
