Should you buy it?
The Horacio Silver is a substantial Portuguese clay oven finished with real slate and intended to become a permanent feature of an outdoor kitchen. Its refractory clay inner dome is surrounded by insulation and refractory mortar, storing enough heat for both high-temperature pizza cooking and slower roasting after the fire subsides. A cast-iron door provides a glass viewing window and ash hatch, while the stainless-steel flue incorporates a choke and the external thermometer reads up to 500°C. Rotisserie provision adds another cooking option. At roughly 650kg and almost £1,900, this is a major investment, but it offers the thermal behaviour of a traditional masonry-style oven.
