The Ottimo Searsmith 24-inch is a substantial ceramic kamado aimed at enthusiastic outdoor cooks. Thick ceramic walls and a fibre gasket minimise heat loss, helping the BBQ maintain stable temperatures while using less charcoal than a conventional open grill. Dual top-and-bottom vents give fine airflow control, while the built-in thermometer provides a temperature reference. Two half-moon heat deflectors and a raised-grid system allow direct searing, indirect smoking and multi-zone cooking at the same time. Folding bamboo side tables, an easy-lift hinge, ash drawer, wheeled stand and protective cover round out an impressive specification. At 85.5kg and £700-plus, it's a serious long-term investment rather than a casual BBQ.
