The red Outback Jupiter offers the same genuinely useful hybrid system as its blue counterpart, allowing you to cook conventionally on gas or use the burners to ignite charcoal in the supplied basket before switching the gas off. Four main burners and a separate side burner provide plenty of capacity, supported by a 64 x 42cm cooking area and warming rack. Porcelain-coated cooking surfaces, a double-skin hood and built-in temperature gauge add useful heat control, while the removable wooden chopping board and cabinet provide preparation and storage space. At 71kg and well over £500 this is a permanent garden centrepiece rather than a portable grill, but its ability to switch between gas and charcoal is genuinely distinctive.
